(SCCCI Members)

Launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in May 2017, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) will start from 2018 as part of the effort to accelerate global trade growth. This distinguished and large-scale B2B trade fair aims to stimulate and develop a more open and inclusive world economy. The first CIIE will be held from 5th to 10th November 2018 in Shanghai.

The exhibition covers a total area of 500,000 m², including 400,000 m² in indoor exhibition hall and 100,000 m² of outdoor area. It is divided into 8 sectors. Enterprises from over 100 countries and regions, as well as 150,000 professional purchasers, are expected to take part. The expo fair provides new channels for countries and regions to conduct business, creating a platform for countries to partake in global trade and share business opportunities with each other. The Chinese government sincerely welcomes government officials, business communities, related corporate representatives and professional buyers across the world to participate in the CIIE and to explore the Chinese market.

Being the second largest economy, as well as the second largest importer and consumer in the world, China continues to be the greatest potential market for most Singapore businesses. Since 2013, Singapore has been the largest foreign investor country of China. Chalking up a record of US$42.9 billion, Singapore became one of China’s top trading partners in ASEAN in 2016. Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) encourages trade association and corporate members to actively engage in this expo fair, bringing their services and products into the China market.
