The Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) invites application for the posts of:  

 

1. Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Property)

Responsibilities

  • Assist and manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Chamber’s properties and facilities through either direct management or a 3rd party managing agent;
  • Manage and oversee all service providers and contractors on all maintenance, operations and renovation works and to ensure that all works comply with statutory requirements and code of practice;
  • Set out work specifications & invite for quotations and tender (where necessary);
  • Source for comparative vendors’/contractors’ quotations and put up approval for repair, replacement, improvement works;
  • Devise and implement maintenance programs to ensure proper upkeep of properties;
  • Monitor and keep track of building’s operation costs;
  • Ensure proper and updated file records of all term contracts’ service reports, inspection reports, documentations and related correspondences
  • To assist in the tenancy renewals and marketing of commercial units of the Chamber’s office buildings with existing and potential tenants;
  • Work closely with Finance and external solicitor on arrears and distressed cases and other lease execution matters;
  • To assist in the preparation of annual maintenance/management budget and forecast;
  • To promote good landlord & tenant relationship; and
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Chamber from time to time

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree holder in Real Estate or its equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in building management & Mechanical & Electrical
  • Knowledgeable in building operations, AV/IT system and maintenance works, as well as relevant authorities’ requirements and current code of practices
  • Certification with ‘Fire Safety Manager’ will be an advantage
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese (in order to liaise with the English & Chinese speaking associates)
  • Able to start work immediately or on short notice will be preferred

 

2. Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive/ Executive (Industry Clusters)

Background

The Trade Association Hub project is a joint initiative between SCCCI and relevant government agencies to empower trade associations to play a proactive role to lead the transformation of local industries and enterprises. This position offers an opportunity for the candidate to build partnerships with various industry trade associations to embark on skills upgrading programmes, productivity improvement efforts and business collaboration activities for the betterment of local industries.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate industry transformation and upgrading efforts of trade associations and their members
  • Collaborate with government agencies to tap on their resources to help trade associations roll out productivity and upgrading programmes
  • Develop industry transformation plan with trade associations which include areas like manpower, industry rebranding, land requirements, technology adoption, internationalization strategies and other productivity improvement efforts
  • Assist trade associations in their LEAD application for government’s funding support and providing an advocacy channel between trade associations and the government agencies on feedbacks pertaining to government’s policies.

Requirements

  • Good degree in any discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and writing skills in English and Chinese, to liaise with English and Chinese speaking associates
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in building networks with industry leaders and government officials
  • A team player, meticulous and resourceful
  • Passion in supporting local SMEs and industries will be a bonus
  • Entry-level candidates, or candidates with 1-2 years’ working experience are welcome to apply
  • Past experience in managing government grant support or application an advantage
  • Ever Formulate strategy papers on developing industry transformation plans with trade associations an advantage

 

3. Assistant Manager / Senior Executive (Communications and External Relations)

Responsibilities

  • Part of the team to roll out initiatives and projects to support strong connection of SCCCI's worldwide business network
  • Responsible for the engagement of partners and stakeholders including media and business associations for activities, interviews, and present coherent and mutually reinforcing messages that are aligned to SCCCI's visions and missions
  • Plan and work with the team to execute and coordinate communication and engagement strategies and initiatives, including strategic communication and digital engagement plans

Requirements

  • A university degree in Marketing Communications or Mass Communications
  • At least 2 years of relevant experiences in public/media relations, strategic communication planning, integrated marketing communications and social media management
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and writing skills in English and Chinese, to liaise with English and Chinese speaking associates
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an environment with multiple stakeholders

 

4. Manager (Finance) - 1-year Contract

Responsibilities:

  • To manage a team of accounting and ensure of various subsidiaries are prepared in accordance with financial reporting standards, Companies Acct, group policies and statutory requirements
  • To ensure the smooth delivery of daily accounting operations by providing guidelines and advices to subordinates to resolve accounting issues
  • To review and analyse financial performance to ensure proper controls are in place to meet with the group’s expectation
  • To prepare management reports, budgets and forecast for management’s review
  • To liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, banks etc)

Requirements:

  • Accountancy degree or professional qualification in accounting
  • Familiar & proficient with ACCPAC accounting software (windows version)
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ of full set of accounts hands-on working experience
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Chinese & English, to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates

SCCIOB Career

The Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business (SCCIOB) invites application for the posts of:  

 

1. Manager (Enrolment Support)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning of class schedule, resource booking and trainer allocation  
  • Process fee collection and refund, manage AR and Grant Receivable  
  • Systems setup and update on course/trainee information 

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the training industry

Requirements

  • Possess minimum a diploma, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Training and Education industry
  • Familiar with SSG funding requirements
  • IT savvy, able to prepare and trouble shoot during the computer-based tests
  • Meticulous and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adherence to the standards of practice and code of ethics required

  • Required to work on weeknights and Saturday mornings occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement sales & marketing strategies and be accountable for the achievement of sales and business goals
